Organizing cabinets
When you have children your home gets taken over by all kinds of stuff. The bottles and cups alone have a million pieces! Where are you supposed to put all of it?!?!?!? And don't even get me started on spices. Well I have finally found a solution.
I found this 3 tier organizer on Amazon for $8. There are different lengths, so find the one that best fits your cabinet.
Next, I found these baskets at Target in the $1 section! All those pieces for the kids cups are in one, straws in another and so on. I feel so much better now that I have reclaimed a small piece of my house back. :)

Wipes
I normally just use store bought wipes. But when my kiddos have had a bad rash I switch. I take a bag of wipes and rinse it thoroughly. Then let them dry. I usually do this ahead of time so when I need them they are ready.
I start by putting the dried wipes into an old wipe container. I then make my mix in a seperate containter and then pour it over the wipes.
Wipe solution
1/8 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon baby shampoo
4 drops tea tree oil or if your using Young living it's called Melaleuca
8 drops lavender oil
3 cups water
The Melaleuca/Tea tree oil works wonders on the rash. For me, it has always cleared or looked dramatically better within 24 hours.
I LOVE Young Living oils. Here is a link if you would like to buy some or if you sign up to sell them they offer a discount on your orders. If you sign up to be a Distrubutor, you do have to buy a kit. That's it. My kit came with a diffuser, which I LOVE! I didn't sign up to sell but I wanted to get a discount on a product that I already use a ton of.

Laundry soap
Laundry soap can cost a lot of money. There is no need to spend $100 a year on detergent. Making your own is so cheap and easy to make. I don't feel comfortable using things for both food and my laundry soap so I have things that are dedicated to making this.
What you need is:
I then fill the bottom of my double boiler with water, leaving enough room for the top pot. I don't have a double boiler so I use a pot with a glass bowl on top. I then add 6 cups of water and 1/3 of my grated bar of Fels Naptha to my glass bowl (or top of double boiler). Then turn the heat onto medium and stir occasionally. (don't let the soap boil)
I then fill my 5 gallon bucket with 26 cups of water (1 gallon plus 10 cups if that's easier). The first time I did this, I put a mark on my bucket so I didn't have to measure the next time. I also wrote the recipe on the side of my bucket to simplify even more.
I then add 1/2 cup of Borax and 1/2 cup of washing soda to my 5 gallon bucket. Then once the Fels Naptha is melted, turn off the heat and pour your liquified Fels Naptha into the bucket and stir.
Once it is all mixed, I pour the mix into my one gallon jugs using a funnel. I let it cool a bit before I put the lids on.
I pour in about a 1/2 cup of my laundry soap per load. Enjoy!
- 1/3 bar of Fels Naptha
- 1/2 cup of Borax
- 1/2 cup of Washing Soda
- Grater
- 5 Gallon bucket
- Funnel
- Double boiler (I use a pot with a glass bowl on top)
- Container for your laundry soap. I use 3 one gallon jugs. I replace them every couple times. The soap ends up being jelly like with some separation so you either have to shake it or stir before each use.
